Compact 35mm VU Meter Stereo Audio Level Indicator for Audio Enthusiasts

This kit adopts a mature 5th generation front-level driver board combined with classic backlight 35mm VU meter heads, making it suitable for use with telephones, computers, preamplifiers, and MP3 players. The VU meter backlight voltage is AC6V-12V DC current, with a 500uA ±15% DC internal resistance of 650 ohm ±15%. The working temperature range is -22% to 55 degrees Celsius.

When connecting the cable, be cautious not to connect the output DC12V backlight voltage to the wrong VU meter, as the current may burn out the meter head. Additionally, it cannot be connected to the output of a power amplifier, including a car CD player.

To use the product, follow these instructions: 1. The power supply is AC 12V. It is recommended to use an independent power transformer or an independent winding to power the device. 2. L, G, R are the two-channel input terminals for the low-level signal of the driver board, used to connect the audio from a mobile phone, computer sound card, preamp, or other audio source equipment. When connecting, ensure that L, GND, and R correspond to the left, ground, and right channels, respectively. 3. The adjustable resistance "5K-V" is used to adjust the brightness of the backlight. 4. The adjustable resistors "5OK-1 and 50K-2" control the beating amplitude of the pointers of VU meter 1 and VU meter 2, respectively.

To debug the level meter, follow these steps: 1. Find a signal generator, adjust the output frequency of a 1KHz signal to 0.775V, connect the signal input of the driver board, and point the pointer of the meter to 0DB on the instrument panel. 2. To debug the VU meter, connect the audio signal to the driver board, adjust the adjustable resistance on the driver board until the loudness and rhythm heard by the ear are synchronized with the pointer, ensuring the pointer's swing range is moderate.
